Pump-Monitor: 3 Phase Motor & Pump Protection Relay
Features
Electronic overload relay that protects three-phase motors and pumps from 1 to 300 H.P. against overload, phase failure, rapid cycling, and low water level without the need for electrodes (low load). The display allows for easy adjustments and shows the three line currents, maximum current, and faults.
- Used in motors from 1 to 300 H.P.
- LCD display for adjustments and indication of the three currents, maximum current, and faults.
- Protects against low suction level without the need for electrodes. (Low load/Subload)
- Memory of the last ten faults.
- Certified by UL de México SA de CV.
Description
The Pump Monitor PM-3 is an innovative protection for three-phase pumps and motors from 1 to 300 H.P., with many advantages over standard bimetallic overload relays. It protects against overload, phase failure, rapid cycling, and low suction level without the need for electrodes (detecting low current). It has an illuminated LCD display that indicates the three line currents, maximum current, and the last ten faults in memory.
The display also shows a settings menu that allows easy configuration according to each need.
The PM-3 protects by disconnecting the contactor coil and turning off the motor or equipment when it detects a fault. It has a delay to prevent disconnections due to transient faults; this disconnection delay can be set to a fixed time or a trip curve class 5, 10, or 15. After the set time, it opens an internal contact and turns off the motor to protect it. The connection after a fault can be manual or automatic with an adjustable connection delay.
The equipment features an LED indicator that lights up when the contact is closed, and a button that allows simulating a fault for testing purposes.
