Description
The Pump Monitor PM-2 is an innovative electronic overload relay specially designed for the protection of single-phase pumps. It protects the pump from overload, high/low voltage, rapid cycling, and low suction level without the need for electrodes.(Low load) It eliminates the need for a contactor, overload relay, float switch, and high/low voltage protection. It measures the pump’s power to determine when it is operating without water. The Pump Monitor is self-calibrating, meaning it calibrates itself, although it can be manually adjusted if desired. It allows adjusting overload, low load, trip curve, high/low voltage, and connection delay.
It features an LCD display to indicate voltage, current, power in watts, faults, and more. It has fault memory to indicate faults that occurred when you were not present, and LED indicators on the front make it easy to see if the system is in normal condition or if there is a fault.
When there is a fault, the Pump Monitor protects the pump by disconnecting it. The Pump Monitor disconnects based on a trip curve to avoid unnecessary stops due to transient faults. The connection after a fault can be manual or automatic with an adjustable connection delay.
