Description
The Series 20 panels control the automatic operation of pumps to recirculate water in a cooling system. However, it can be used for other applications such as pools, water treatment control, etc.
The pumps alternate automatically to maintain even wear and run simultaneously if the system requires more water. They can also start alternately according to a schedule for energy savings (this application uses a separate weekly programmer that is sold separately). The simultaneous start signal is given through an external contact from a weekly programmer or any other device.
The panel has a setting to bypass one pump for maintenance without disrupting the automatic operation of the system during the repair. It also has an LCD screen that provides information about the operation, making control adjustments straightforward. The panels are manufactured for 2 and 3 pumps, and 3-pump models can be configured to alternate with 2 pumps always operating simultaneously. This function is useful when increased recirculation flow is needed.
The Series 20 panel can be configured in different operation modes:
Time Period Operation.
The pumps alternate after a set period of time (configurable from 1 minute to 24 hours). Simultaneous operation of the pumps is triggered by the contact of an external device providing the start signal. This external contact can be from a weekly programmer or any other device.
Schedule Operation.
The alternate start of the pumps is scheduled to occur on a specific day and time. It requires a separate weekly programmer (not included and must be ordered separately). Each time the programmer’s contact closes, the panel starts one pump alternately; when the contact opens, the pumps turn off. Simultaneous operation of the pumps is triggered by the contact of an external device providing the start signal.
Manual Operation.
The pumps can be started manually using the operation selector.
