Description
The Serie 60-AS fire control panels with soft starter for electric motor control the automatic operation of electric motor-operated fire pumps. It detects the water level in the tank, has a selector for Manual-Off-Automatic operation, indicator lights for the selector in automatic, operation, and low suction level. Manual or automatic stop can be selected after an adjustable stop delay.
The start signal is obtained from a pressure switch placed in the fire network. When the pressure in the system is restored, the control starts counting the time set as the stop delay. Once this time has elapsed, the pump is turned off. If manual stop was selected, the pump does not turn off until the stop button is pressed.
The “Low Suction Level” is only indicated with the pilot light; by standard, the equipment does not stop the pump for this fault, only indicates it unless it is in stop delay.
Advantages
- Better control of start and stop, as the voltage gradually changes in a smooth ramp, reducing current peaks, smoothing stops, and decreasing maximum demand, achieving a smoother start and stop (See graph on page 17).
- The initial voltage is adjustable from 40 to 80%.
- Lower weight and more compact size.
This panel can be ordered with a network connection for monitoring via Modbus RTU using RS-485 or Modbus TCP-IP via Ethernet.
The Serie 60-AS Fire Control Panels include most of the requirements indicated by the N.F.P.A. in its pamphlet #20.
Optional Equipment
- Modbus: Network connection for monitoring via Modbus RTU using RS-485 or Modbus TCP-IP via Ethernet.
- Safety disconnect switch that disconnects power when opening the cabinet.
- Magnetic switch. (Available from 12 Amp onwards.)
- Remote signaling contacts.
- Pressure switch 1-10 kg (15-147 PSI).
- PD-640 protector against high voltage discharges.
- Remote alarm for low voltage, imbalance, and phase failure.
- Three-phase RMS digital voltmeter with max/min voltage and frequency meter, mounted on the cabinet door.
- Three-phase RMS digital ammeter with max current recording, mounted on the cabinet door.
